Natural frequencies of functionally graded plates by a meshless method

چکیده
We use the global collocation method, the first and the third-order shear deformation plate theories, the Mori–Tanaka technique to homogenize material properties, and approximate the trial solution with multiquadric radial basis functions to analyze free vibrations of functionally graded plates. Frequencies computed by the present method are found to agree well with those from the analytical solution of Vel and Batra, and the numerical solution of Qian et al. based on the meshless local Petrov–Galerkin formulation. 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Length Scale Effect on Vibration Analysis of Functionally Graded Kirchhoff and Mindlin Micro-Plates
In this paper, the modified couple stress theory is used to study vibration analysis of functionally graded rectangular micro-plates. Considering classical and first order plate theories, the couple governing equations of motion are obtained by using the Hamilton’s principle. Considering an assumed mode method, the accurate size dependent natural frequencies are established for simply supported...
متن کاملDynamic Stiffness Method for Free Vibration of Moderately Thick Functionally Graded Plates
In this study, a dynamic stiffness method for free vibration analysis of moderately thick function-ally graded material plates is developed. The elasticity modulus and mass density of the plate are assumed to vary according to a power-law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents whereas Poisson’s ratio is constant. Due to the variation of the elastic properties through ...

A simple formulation for studying the free vibration of shear-deformable functionally graded plates of different shapes with different cutouts using the finite element method is presented. The aim is to fill the void in the available literature with respect to the free vibration results of functionally graded plates of different shapes with different cutouts. The material properties of the plat...

In the present study the free vibration analysis of the functionally graded rectangular nanoplates is investigated. The nonlocal elasticity theory based on the exponential shear deformation theory has been used to obtain the natural frequencies of the nanoplate. In exponential shear deformation theory an exponential functions are used in terms of thickness coordinate to include the effect of tr...
